We're finally getting used to navigating Colombia and so had no issues making our way down from the mountains and all the way to the sea. We stayed two nights in a stunning bungalow near the entrance to Tayrona National Park and spent a day exploring its famous beaches. The Caribbean is lovely and warm, but the beaches in the park were pretty rough and mostly unsafe for swimming (the alligator warnings were an added deterrent). Still, a couple of swim spots were open so we had a refreshing dip, a lovely beachside lunch, and saw an awesome woodpecker hard at work in the jungle, which all made for a great day out.
